Simple Breakdown
The goal of my agency is to help college athletes generate money. As we all know, some student athletes receive millions in NIL Deals each year. Other students are usually left out of the equation. I will be using my skills, knowledge, and network to help student athletes build their personal brands. Outside of building their brand, I will be assisting student athletes with resumes, professional development, as well as career readiness.
Structure of My Agency
There will be an official contract between myself and the student athlete. The athlete will give me approval to: create a personal logo for them, shirts, hat, hoodies, sweaters, posters, mugs, as well as other items that will be available for sale. I will create and produce all items using my own personal money. When an item sells, the student athlete gets a predetermined percentage from each sale. The student athlete will not be required to spend any of their own money, but the student will be encouraged to wear items that displays their personal logo.
Ownership
As a graphic designer, by law, each design that is created will be owned by me. But, since I will be working with student athletes, I will give each athlete joint ownership of their logo. In simple terms, the student athlete is free to do as they please with their design (post it, print it, display online, etc). All items will be sold from one central website. This is to ensure that I will be able to keep an accurate account of finances.
